About Carvedilol: Carvedilol is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This drug works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. A carbazole and propanol derivative that acts as a non-cardioselective beta blocker and vasodilator.
